I was given a Canon Pixma MP600 printer for Xmas. Nice printer, shame about the cost of the Canon cartridges. I have been trying to find someone offering chipped compatible carts, but all the suppliers seem to insist that I remove the chips from my Canon carts and install them in the compatibles. Bit worried about that because I am partially sighted and delicate manipulation of electronic parts ain't my forte! Am I being unduly sensitive about this task? Could anyone with experience of it tell me how tricky it is? Alternatively, anyone know of a chipped cart supplier, please?
You have to remove the chip from the original Canon cartridge and fit it to the compatible one. Look here click here, and click on the "CLICK HERE" at the bottom of the page to read the pdf version of the instructions.
