AVG is telling me that I have a trojan horse downloader. perfiler.A. An initial test removed a virus from sys32. However, I keep getting the message and everytime I run AVG the tests show that sys32 cannot be opened and is therefore not checked. Any advice would be helpful.

If it's in the System Restore folder you will need to disable System Restore to delete it, then re-enable.

If you have XP, right click My Computer, choose Properties and you will see the System Restore card there.
