Check this out for Formating please

I used kill disk and did the following: -

For Fat 32
Using Win98 OEM to install Win98.

Booted with Win 98 OEM Floppy

I started at FDISK

Enabled large disk support.
Deleted partition logical DOS drive.
Deleted primary DOS partition.
Hit enter at what primary partition do you want to delete.
Hit enter at volume label.
Are you sure Yes Enter
Deleted primary DOS.
Escape to continue.
Chose create logical DOS drive Enter.
Create primary DOS partition Enter.
Chose to use Max primary DOS Partition Enter.
Restarted PC.
Started with CD ROM support.
A: Format C:
Formatted HD
Volume Label None
At A: prompt
C: mdvwin 98
Cd win98
Copy d:\win98 enter
No files copied
Bad file or command

Checked the partition to see what it said and it has the following
Partition C
Status A
Type Pi DOS
Volume Label None
MB 6142
System Fat32
Tried this on three Pcs same drive what am I doing wrong.

If you've used a startup disk then your CD drive letter will have been moved up to E: because the startup disk loads a RAM Drive that becomes D: click here
