On start up chkdsk runs but will not fix the problems it finds because it says it has not been told to i.e. the F factor is missing. My PC then just sits ther with the problems on the screen and wont boot unless i stop chkdsc checking on start up.How do i get chkdsk to run properly please.

The correct DOS command is chkdsk /f or /v.
