Cheap 1TB drives - has anyone bought one?

Do they work in your machine? Has anyone had problems? Does Vista or your Mobo cap how many you can string together?

Just closing this post. Amazing lack of response from a usually knowledgeable forum. To help others, I will say that if you buy OEM drives cheap ones at 1tb then they may not come with a SATA cable. Check before you order is my advice.

Its basically 1000 gigabytes.

Missed your original post. Sorry! Following m800afc`s post this thread proved very interesting. Have to say that my first external HDD experiences relate to two Maxtor 40 Gb hard disk drives used to back up the entire company data on a daily basis - this included 14 in house computers and three laptops!

Reminds me of my first company computer with a HDD of 40 Mb - yes Mb!
