Hi all my wife works with autistic children at a private school in the 16-18 year range, the kids all have there bits and peices ipods etc on the unit they have a works laptop that is connected to the school network , one of the lads wanted to connect his MP3 player to the laptop to charge the batterie but they are unable to charge it would the network permissions be stopping this as at home he charges if from the home PC usb port fine. Many thanks in advance.

Hmm, I don't see how network permissions would have anything to do with it. The laptop might simply not be powerful enough.
