I'm aware that there is a security "feature" in XP (Home Edition)Limited Accounts which prevents certain programs running and that there is a fix that allows the person, with the administrators password, to run that program on a as required basis.

How do I change a programs privalage so that it will always run in a limited account?

Thanks - can you advise what I need to do in the registry?

Just create a Limited User Account from the "User Accounts" option located in the Control Panel and login as that account....

It is that simple.... Then, to run programs as an Administrator, just right-click the shortcut and select "Run as..." which will save you having to login and out all the time.

Thanks

But the pc in question is upstairs used by my son - I'm trying to avoid running up and down stairs (plus its parental control so theres the added problem as I might not be always in so I want the program to run at startup when he logs in.
