I need to change the file extension of some document files so that I can read them. I don't know how to do this in Vista.

Can anybody point me in the right direction?

Thanks

if you right click on file and then click change and then choose the program to open it with..and i think you can tick a box stating to use this program all the time..as long as the new program can open it it will change it..did this with windows xp so may be slightly different in vista kind regards akanic
