Changing default font in Works 8.5 version

I pasted this question in Google and a MS knowledge base said to open blank doc/change font etc/file/template but when I do this, Template does not appear in drop down menu??

How to change the default font in the Word Processor when you use Microsoft Works

Open a blank document and change to your required font then File > Save As > Template > name it and OK

Sorry - missed out a bit. Before OK tick box Use this template for new Word Processor Documents

Did you not read part of post that said Template does not appear in menu?

  Sea Urchin 12:26 20 Jul 2008

Yes I did read that, and I'm sorry to say that you are not reading my post properly. Template is not on the drop down menu - it is on the Save As box.

I will repeat once again - FILE then SAVE AS - then Template button

I missed out "save as" so in other words, if I open doc/file/save as? template is not an option.

When you open Save As box do you have three buttons at the bottom right - Save, Cancel and Template?

  frenchman96 13:50 20 Jul 2008

A massive senior moment, yes I have the 3e buttons including Template, I do apologise, will try it later as Open beckons

No need to apologise - these things are often not apparent at first sight. Enjoy the Open

All sorted now thanks, just as you said.
