Changing Date On Files

I was just wondering if it's possible to COMPLETELY change the date on files so that no-one can tell when they were really created. The only way I can think of is to set up a new computer, set the date in the BIOS to whatever install Windows and again configure the date the same and finally install the application to create the files from scratch (e.g. Microsoft Word or whatever).

Is that the simplest method or is there an easier way?

Hi, thanks for that... just what I was looking for. However, I have heard of "meta tags" (I think that's what they are called) within files that still store the actual date the file was made even if the date of the file is different - can this stuff alter that as well do you know?
