change laptop partition to plug into Playstation 3

Is it possible to change the NTFS drive on my old Packard Bell Easy Note A8 to Fat32 so I can connect it to my playstation 3?

Reason why is that my external drive is NTFS and not compatible with the Fat32. My controllers and headset are not working wireless. I contacted Sony and they told me to restore PS3 to factory settings but my external has films, picture albums and e-books all saved and I dont want to format ext drive.

you cannot change from NTFS to FAT32 without a full reformat and loss of all data on the drive.

You can do it the other way FAT32 to NTFS without loss of data.

Even though my Easy Note has been restored to factory settings if I changed the drive to Fat32 are you saying I will lose all pre-installed programs?
