Chameleon Monitor

My monitor is old and could need replacing but I'd rather ask before I dump it.
My PC monitor is an old Escom and it likes to change colour when it wants too, When I was typing on notepad the usually white background was a green and when I do anything it changes colour but not drastically, it usually goes either Red, Green, Blue or yellow, it is getting worse every time I use it and it isn't the normal colour all the time. Can you help?

Had the same problem a few years ago and found the vga cable was the culprit. The cable was hard wired into the monitor, but I found if I 'waggled' the cable near the entrance to the monitor, the display colour would change as you describe. If your cable is removable I suggest trying another.

If not - well it's tough luck.
