hi i have bought a gigabyte mb ga-8s1ml-nf, it says it supports an intel p4 1400mhz to 2533mhz, 400/533fsb, socket mpga 478b, what i would like to know is will an intel celeron 1700mhz, 400 fsb, socket 478 work in it, as it only mentions that it supports the p4, thanks

Find out the correct model number of your Gigabyte motherboard (your listing appears incorrect) and then go to:

It will tell you which CPUs are supported.

If you go to the Support pages afterwards you can also download the latest Bios, drivers manual etc for your board.

If the board has the right credentials, you can download and install the new Bios automatically by following the instructions on the website.
