CD's won't/don't play (audio)

When I put a audio CD in - any, i can't seem to get anything to work/play at all. When i put the CD'S in, windows media player loads up and says:

""""Windows Media Player cannot find the specified file. Be sure the path is typed correctly. If it is, the file does not exist at the specified location, or the computer where the file is stored is offline.""""

Also, the files themselves have "exclamation" marks at the side of them :(!) These Cd's are ok as they work in my old pc. I have configured Media to associate the file with it. I have tried Real player too and same thing. Won't work with any player at all.

Other Cd's work like Mag cover CD's etc...

Wonder what this problem coulf be? (did a system restore but no luck).
