Hello. I'm trying to buy a CDRW drive that reads DVDs, (I'm not worried about writing DVDs right now) but I don't seem to be able to find one. Can anybody recommend something?

CD readers are for that purpose only - reading CDs. The laser wavelength of a DVD is much shorter than that used for a CD and will not work.

DVD players that read CDs usually have two reading lasers, one for the CD and one for the DVD.

CD writers that read DVDs are called "combo" drives.

Misunderstood slightly from your title.
