CDR (Coreldraw) files- how to open?

  Stroller 21:31 08 May 2004

I have been sent some picture files with the extension of 'CDR', which is Corel Draw.

I do not have Corel Draw, I do have PSP and Adobe Photoshop, and ACDSee does not appear to support them.
Without having to go and spend a lot of cash which I don't have to buy Corel Draw, is there any way I can open the CDR files with the progs I have, or can any of you suggest a freeware or shareware program that I can DL to open and view CDR files?

Hi Stroller. The problem with CorelDraw files is thet they are vector files, where the picture is described as a series of lines and arcs, rather than bitmapped files where the picture is described as an array of pixels. The only program that might be able to open CDR files would be another vector drawing program with a suitable conversion filter.

Having said that, Irfanview can open CDR files as preview only, but it doesn't do a very good job of it. click here
