Can anybody kindly explain, or supply a Link as to the difference between these two types of CD.

CD-R exists

CD+R doesn't

There are two types of CD

CD-R - Once recordable

CD-RW - Rewriterable (i.e you can format the disc and reuse it)

Did you mean DVD-R and DVD+R?? if so they are just two standards for DVDs like Betamax and VHS.

You can, in fact, write to a CD-R more than once (i.e. add more files, data etc) and this is achieved using multisession mode.
