My CDRW will read a disk and copy to HD. It doesn't show the name of the disk e.g. Business. When I try to write to disk either cdr or cdrw, it says no disk in drive, but it is the same disk it has just copied from.Any suggestions? If I need new drive,is it easy to fit?ThanksLynda
what burning software are you using do you have one or to burning programs
HiHas this just started happening? Also can you tell us the Make/model of the PC or CD writer and your Operating System (e.g. Windows XP)PS fitting a new one is simple, 4 screws and 2 connectors.
Just using the software with the computer:Windows XP HomePackard Bell Imedia - 3 years oldregardsLynda
you could try another burning program here click here
My computer - right click drive - select properties - recording tab - tick box "Enable CD recording on this drive"
Have a look on your Start/All Programs for NERO or Easy CD if ones there please tell us.
as if you have 'closed' the disk. Have you tried using a completely blank fresh disk?
If you are unable to resolve this it sounds as though the laser has packed up, it happened to me on a 3 year old Samsung. As AndySD says fitting a new one is easy and they are not expensive.
Thanks for your replies; am downloading burn4 free at moment; do not have Nero orm EasyCD, Only EASYDVDLynda
>>As AndySD says fitting a new one is easy and they are not expensive.>>You clearly mean, of course, a new rewriter but, the way it reads, you are referring to a new laser...:-)Not too easy to achieve...:-)
