i have a cd-rw external drive the problem is when i use it its only writing at 4* i have tryed to find how to change the speed with no look the drive is 16*write 10*rewrite 40*read but as i said it only rewrites at 4* any help please

The media (the CDRW itself) might not support faster than 4x.

Also try looking under options in the writing software as you can often change write speeds there.

i use easy cd 5 platinum

When you hit the record button you can chage the speed on the next screen.

Also check under Tools menu, CD Drive Properties and highlight the CDRW and check the speed there.

As i said sometime some media will only allow you to burn at slower speeds too.

still not very good writing speed is there any software i can get to speed it up
