CD ROMs not compatible with Windows XP

I've just bought a new computer with Windows XP already installed. I've got quite a few CD ROMs that I used on my old computer using Windows 98 Second Edition. Is it possible to use these CDs on my new computer using Windows XP (bearing in mind they weren't made for XP)? If so, how? Many thanks!!!

Do you mean CD Roms with programs on - if so then it will depend on the individual program.

XP has an application called Compatability Mode that can assist in getting older (pre XP) programs to run - but not always
