CD rom drive problem. Not recognising disks

Hi All.

This is the final problem I have with my own new PC upgrade.
I did have a A7V8X, but swapped to a GB GA7-400N as my Asus would not let my xp2500 barton clock to 3200 and also would not allow 8x graphics to run.

Anyway. All now fitted and with a clean install of XP.

But for some reason, my DVD/CD drives (or PC) will not run my Call of Duty-United Offensive.

It will load onto the machine and will allow me to play the first series of COD but when I insert disk one of COD-UD I get the default warning box saying "Cannot locate the CD-Rom Please insert the correct CD-Rom. Select OK and restart application".

I know this is not a games forum but since the games will run on my laptop and a recent customer built pc, I assume it could be software. The disks are genuine and not copies. I have swapped drives with another pc and still no help. I think it could be a corrupt file on the install or maybe mobo fault.

Please help as this is driving me mad!
