Currently i have a home wireless network set up between a Desktop PC running Windows ME (which also has the Net connection) and my laptop running Windows XP home. THe laptops CD Drive has broken and i dont want to send it away over xmas. I already have the CD Drive and the HArd Drive of the Desktop computer 'mapped' so i can read them from my laptop, what i was wondering though is if i can use the Desktop CD Drive as a substitute? i can read the data from there but i cant select it as the source when i try and install somthing off a cd onton the laptop!! Any ideas??
