Well, free burning programs are as all right as windows' own, IMHP.
Try Ashampoo's burning studio 7, google it, I think you may have a few days to trial it.
If it recognises your drives then fine. Wait for the 'wonderful "special offer" via email', as you'll need to register to download it, then use the thirty days of that trial, or whatever it is, then it's up to you. Should get it for a tenner. If the program works and recognises you drives, then don't uninstall any previous 'burners' on your Pc in case 'upper and lower' filters are corrupted. (Don't ask...).
