I am using a friends old computer untill I get myself another one.He said I can add or delete anything as there is nothing on there he needs. On my computer I had CD burner XP and I have tried to install it on this one but I always get the message...Windows has encountered a problem and needs to close so I am unable to install it.As I think it is a good program has anyone got any ideas what the problem is and how to I get round it.

Do you have access to a WinXP disk?
If yes, put the disk in and go to Start>Run at 'Run' type...
sfc /scannow
(observe the space between sfc and /)

It will scan the system and see if any of the system files or drivers are missing and replace them.

Can you lay hands on an older version?

I have used it for years, but when I updated recently I had many problems and quickly went back to the old version.

Or as an alternative, I use Ashampoo 2009 (free version) - which is extremely easy to use.
