When I try to play a cd, computer goes blank and tries to reboot from cd. The windows media player works fine with files already on computer, it's only when I try to load cd. i'm using windows XP home edition. Could the problem be the actual cd drive or something in the bios? Any help would be most appreciated thanks.

Do you have Media Player set as the default player for music CDs, etc?
