Hi,I'm running a relatively new HP compaq laptop with 1gb ram, a 1.44ghz celeron m processor and windows xp.Recently i have been unable to play cd's correctly. Software discs work fine and cd's can be ripped and burnt as normal, it is just cd audio playback that is a problem.Wma and MP3 files can be played from hard drive without any glitches however when i play a cd the sound is glitchy. The problem is the same in both Windows Media Player and Realplayer. When playing a cd the cpu usage hovers between 10% and 20%.Viruses/spyware & adware are not factors as i keep my pc squeeky clean, scanning often as well as defragmenting regularly.Does anybody know hoe this problem can be remedied. Any help would be appreciated.
without any info as to the model etc. and operating system used it is a bit difficult for us to help?a bit more info please
