OS XP SP2

When setting up Belkin ADSL Wireless Modem Router all goes well until requested to "Open Internet Browser and Type 192.168.2.1"

On tryng to connect HTTP:// is added and no connection is made.

Have tried in safe mode and with all but microsoft services switch off.

The computer reports that 192,168.2.1 is the correct address for the device.

Can anyone help please

Are you trying to set up over wireless connection? You must LAN connect to set up the wireless connectivity. Hope this helps.

It is strongly recommended by All router suppliers that you use a physically connected cable
to the Router via a Ethernet RJ45 cable for router setup.

Using a wireless connected computer for setup is Not recommended to access router setup at any time.
