I have downloaded this program, but due to inexperience am at a loss as to what to do with the entries reported under "issues",is there a general rule of thumb? or should I --select all--fix selected problems--and hope for the best? In the event of a lash up ,will system restore get me out of the mire. Advice appreciated,Thanks.

it offers to set a registry back-up
I have always selected fix all and touching wood have not regretted it so far - you could always look down list and if cautious about any thing - not tick that ;)

If you tick the "selected Issues" you are then given a choice for a backup. If you are not sure then tell it to make a backup. So far, touch wood, I have not made any backups and everything seems to be OK, but that is no guarantee. Backup!
