can`t play cd-r on my pc

i was given this cd-r( i.e photo`s) of my son, for father`s day, he has since past away,and i just can`t get it to play, can anybody HELP me please, EGM

Try to copy the CD if you have a CD writer. That can often sort it out.

Sorry to here of your loss. You say you want them to "play".

Little confused, are they dvd's photos or just pictures saved to disc?

What operating sytem were they made with and what operating system do you have?

can`t copy disc, cos it keeps saying to incert disc, when disc is already loaded.

Are you trying to read the photographs from the computers cdrom drive? Have you tried playing the disk from a standalone dvd drive, if you have one.

Is the disk clean, no finger marks or scratches. I use CIF to clean mine;-)
