Can't open 'Links' in Outlook

I cannot open links in Oulook anymore. When 'clicking' on a link to a website etc, I get the message "This operation has been cancelled due to restrictions in effect on this computer. Please contact your system administrator."

As I am the only administrator and have not made any changes, I am a bit puzzled!!!!!!!

Found this hope it helps.

This problem is caused by outlook 2000 or outlook 2003 not having an associated browser to open links. This happened to me because I uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox. Outlook lost the default browser setting. You can just open IE, tell it it is the default, then open the other browser back up and reestablish that it is the default.

Tried the simple part of the solution attached which had no effect!!!

I am a bit nervous about playing around with the registry though!!!!

If you never hear from me again, can you check the ethernet as I will probably be lost out there somewhere!!!!
