Can't open link on webpage.

WK2. IE6(.00.2800.1106)

I am trying to access "my account" on a web page. I get the following:

"an error has occurred in the script on this page."

Line. 1
Char. 1
error. Object expected
Code. 0
url. javascript.go ('serv')

There are about six other links on this page all of which work. I contacted the company's help line and a very helpful lady, apparently on the sub-cintinent, after much prompting says that she will ask someone. After a pause I am told there is a fault, their engineers are working on it and to try again after so many minutes/hours/days or whatever. Sometimes after many more fruitless attempts the link works for a while and then I have go through the same sordid procedure again. I have trouble in believing that the company in question can have such a dodgy contact arrangement but before I go and picket them can someone more clued than me assure me the fault lies with them - or is it me?
