Cant Logon to Network

I have an IBM Thinkpad and trying to ude the Windows Wireless Network Connection utility to logon. It sees my home network and I enter the network key but it fails to connect. It will connect to a local unsecured network. I am DEFINATELY entering the correct WEP key. Stumped! Anyone assist please?

Thanks Wave. Yes, I can log in direct via ethernet but that doesn't require security. As soon as I unplug and try and go wireless it will not connect. I have a netbook and that connects OK with the same WEP key. Still stumped!

Check your firewall settings are set to allow on the problem system.

Thanks recap. Did that but no different. However, took the laptop back to my pals and it logged on to his router OK. I know the obvious is that I was inputing the wrong WEP key but I definately wasn't. Strange!
