trying to install a learning type of program for child. System reqirements are OS 95/98/Me/NT/2000/XP. CPU type & speed 486 or equivalent(Pentium recommended). Hard drive space 15MB. Memory 8MB or higher.

My system spec arewindows XP SP2 version 2002, DELL Dimension DIM5000 Pentium 4, CPU 3.00GHZ, 1.00GB RAM.

When click on install I get a window appear that says "16bit Windows subsystem
The system file is not suitable for running MS.DOS and Microsoft Windows applications choose "close" to terminate the application.

Tried the disc on a laptop of similar spec and it works fine.
Please help.

Rename the existing AUTOEXE.NT file to AUTOEXE .old (make sure you have not got your system files hidden).

Inside the windows folder there should be one called "repair". Within this folder there should be a copy of autoexec.nt. Make a copy of the file and place in the orignal location
