Cant get new PCI ADSL Modem to connect

Ive just purchased this new pci modem, its shown in device manager as Conexant AccessRunner PCI ADSL Lan Adapter, ive been through the new connection wizard in windows xp but am still unable to conect via this card.
The pci modem trys to connect via PPPoE but my usb my usb modem uses PPPoA could this be the problem, if so how can i fix it thanks.

Have you set the Control Panel correctly,eg VPI=0,VCI=38(mine defaults to VCI=35)

I used the above guide to install mine.You need to know your ISP's VPI and VCI.

You should have an "AccessRunner Control Panel" icon,click this then it's Alt+P to get access to various further cfg's

Just found that the card supports
ATM Protocols
- PPP over ATM VCMUX (RFC 2364) (WAN)
- PPP over ATM LLC (RFC 2364) (WAN)
- PPP over Ethernet (PPPoE) LLC SNAP (RFC 2516) (WAN)
- PPP over Ethernet (PPPoE) VCMUX (RFC 2516) (WAN)
- Bridged IP over ATM LLCSNAP (RFC 1483) (LAN)
- Routed IP over ATM LLCSNAP (RFC 1483) (LAN)
- Bridged IP over ATM VCMUX (RFC 1483) (LAN)
- Routed IP over ATM VCMUX (RFC 1483) (LAN)
- Classic IP over ATM (RFC1577)

& Pipex my isp is PPPoA

When you used the Connection Wizard did you select dialup or broadband. I had similar problems connecting an external ADSL modem and found that you have got to select the Dialup option and follow on from there.

Go here and get your PIPEX settings - I'm on PIPEX and following this it connected straight away.
