Some days ago I downloaded and installed 'Realplayer' to my computer (Vista)
Decided I didn't like it and uninstalled. But realplayer icon still on desktop. When I try to delete it I get message 'item not found'
Is there a way to delete this icon, please?

If you put your subject title into the Search forum box just above, you will probably find loads of results.

2. Find HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion\explorer\Desktop\NameSpace.

3. These are all your desktop icons. One of them is Realplayer.

4. You can delete it and the icon will go.

may help

If this works .. my search revealed 100 results, admitted not all exactly what you are looking for, but the answer may still be there.

if you can't get rid of it you could reinstall real player and delete the desktop icon before you uninstall it again

Press F5 to refresh the desktop.
