Can't delete 1 temp file

  Carafaraday 08:32 15 Dec 2006

After Zone Alarm updated itself yesterday I noticed that it was continually connecting to the internet (broadband) for a couple of seconds every 30 seconds or so. Deleted cookies, temp files and history etc, tried a system restore, and finally start, run, %temp% in an effort to get rid of all temp files. One file will not go. dff11A. Says it may be in use but using control/alt/delete I cannot see anything running. ZA is still doing its irritating continual brief connection. Any thoughts on how I can stop this?

I have run Adaware, Skybot, and AVG antivirus - all are up to date and run regularly.

Safe mode.

Try booting into safe mode (tap F8 when booting on most machines) and see if you can delete the file then.

Thanks to you both I have deleted the folder but ZA is still logging on and off again continually. Any other suggestions to stop ZA?

I'll start a new thread since file is now deleted.
