I am using W& RC and cannot get my Canon Lide 80 scanner to work.
I`ve tied loading new drivers but get a message that I need a WIA driver.
Canon don`t seem to be that helpfull when questioned about W7 drivers.
Would the retail version of W7 have this problem solved?
It seems that although W7 has a large amount of drivers in it, it doen`t seem that helpful if I can`t load original software such as Canon scan toolbox.
When I used Windows 7 upgrade advisor it showed no problems with my peripherals.
Can anyone explain please.
I don`t want to get the retail version if I`m going to have problems.

Thanks for reply, tried the driver but get a message "cant create"
If I try to use original software disk I get a message " only for windows 98 and XP.
If I search Canon site for W7 drivers there appears to be nothing suitable. Vista drivers won`t work. Canon say they do not have drivers for W7 RC and W7 retail drivers are being looked into ( very slowly ) i think.
I seems that device manufacturers have been very slow to make W7 drivers available.
