My canon bjc 265sp will not print straight lines when printing landscape. Portait printing is fine. I am using a black cartridge in monochome mode on win98se.

Please help

This is possibly caused by a sideways movement of the paper as it is being fed through the printer.

Try to ensure that the paper feed guides fit snug but not too tight against the paper. Also ensure that there is a good grip of the paper by the feed rollers as they pick up the paper.

You could try printing a thicker line so that imperfections in straightness don't show up so much.

Do you mean that straight lines running in the direction of paper movement are jagged? Are vertical lines also jagged in portrait mode, e.g. when you print tables. If so, check the printhead alignment. On most inkjet printers there is a utility and test page to correct this problem.
