Canon MP630 print head alignment

My MP630 is printing misaligned lines (problem occured after changing the full set of ink tanks).I have run Auto Print Head Alignment several times (using MP-101 paper) without success.I'm not having any joy with Manual Print Head Alignment either .. all the blocks printed in columns F and G of the test print pattern show misalignment (top and bottom halves displaced). When prompted "Did the patterns print correctly" I enter "no" and the printer repeats another print run with the same misalignment.Any suggestions ..

Try taking the ink tanks out, switch off printer and unplug and leave for several minutes. Then switch on and put ink tanks back in again.

thanks lotvic .. would have been a nice easy fix but it has made no difference.
