canon ip5200 printer "warning lights"

  Boy Zone 07:58 28 Apr 2008

I've had my printer for about 14 months and yeaterday it decided to stop working. When I turned it on the warning lamp flashes and thats it. I've been on the canon web site and it seems this might be the printer head. I've taken it out to see if there is anything obvious, cant see anything. I put new cartridges in, still no good.
Has anyboby experienced this with a Canon printer?

If I do have to get a new printer I dont think it will be a Canon. You pay over a £100 and it lasts 14 months, and I'm not a high user....

If you find your printer on this site click here you may get help in identifying the cause of the problem and a fix for it.

Download the following manual (if you don't already have it) and look at page 77 which gives you the alarm lamp (orange) codes - you need to count the number of flashes to determine the error
