My Canon IP4300 won't print the PBGK black line properly there's a thin strip missing from the line.
I took out the ink cartridge and found a little rubber nipple lose under the cartridge.

Where does this go? How do I put it back?

I suspect this might be the male connector that pushes into the refill cartridge and should be attached to the Print head pointing up vertically. Have a look at an adjacent cartridge with the refill removed to see if I`m correct. You`ll need to remove all the cartridges and the print head, I suspect to replace it - assuming it hasn`t snapped off.

Hi - thanks for your help.

I've had a look at the other cartridges and none of them have a part that looks like this pointing up.

I can't see anything like it at all on the others?!

I've tried removeing the print head and again can't see anything like it?

Any ideas?
PS can i up load photos to this forum so I can show you?

I know other forum members us photobucket click here You can then provide a link to your photos. I have an IP4000 and a 4300 but unfortunately not where I am at the moment. Post a link to your photo and hopefully someone else may recognise the part.
