Canon i9100 misses items off printout

  HighTower 16:31 13 Aug 2003

Using a Canon i9100 A3 printer, quality is very good but with certain documents it misses entire images off the printout and won't display a particular font whilst the rest of the printout is perfect!

Anyone any ideas why?

Will it print that particular piece of text if you change the font to a True-Type font

I believe that certain DTP Software programs, build up a document in layers.

There is just a possibility that certain layers are not being sent to the printer.

What Software program are you using?

Corel products have a layer manager, and within that it is possible to turn off printing of individual layers, this may have happened in your case.

More info please, and we may be able to help,Toxin

It's actually using Freehand, and the document is around 50cm squared with a couple of 15Mb tiffs in it. I'm kind of suspecting some sort of buffer or memory issue.

Reduce your file size.

Print it in parts.

If I convert the fonts to paths then the font issue goes away! I'll try reducing the file size a bit just to see what happens.
