I was today asked to look at the I was asked to look at the Canon BJC3000 printer of an elderly friend of mine - her complaint was of very poor washed out colour when printing emailed photographs. I ran the DeepClean facility and printed a TestPage. Apart froma washed out Windows logo all the print was in green!. I tried to print text and photos in MS Word (pre 2000) and again the photos were washed out and the text was green.
I then tried text only in Word and the print is black and excellently formed.
The Ink Check facilty shows all the tanks full (they were recently replaced). As far as I could see all the orange tabs have been removed.

Can anyone suggest what is wrong - and how to cure it??? I have tried Canon's customer support but my submission met an Internal Server error.
