Canon BJ 10-ex power supply?

Dunno if anyone can give any suggestions on this one but here goes....

I have an old canon bj 10-ex printer, and have been asked recently if I would sell it for use with a friend's laptop. I decided to dig it out to see if it still worked, and I knew it had been ok, apart from no ink cartridge. Suddenly, for no apparent reason, the power supply seems to have packed in. My bro-in-law gave me an old one he had lying around, and it wouldn't work either. My question is: Does anyone know where I could get a new one, and if so is it worth it, or could the printer be kaput?

Is there a part code on it ??? if so what is it??

If two PSUs don't work with the printer, I would be concerned that the printer is kaput. It could be something simple like its jammed through disuse and is causing the PSUs to blow their fuses when you plug them in.

If/when you do get it running, the print head will probably need a lot of cleaning before it will produce any printout. You'll need to take it out and soak it -- others should be able to recommend what cleaning fluids to use.
