Cannot power up

Any ideas
the other halfs pc running xp was switched off today while a outside lights transformer was being installed the power was also turned off at the mains
When the power was turned on the main circuit breaker tripped out owing to a faulty unit
On removing the transformer from the mains supply and turning the power on again all worked fine including my pc when the OH turned her pc on all she got was the warning light on the front and what sounds like the hard drive spinning up no key board lights and no monitor only a message from the monitor that there is no signal
We are on our way out this evening so if I dont respond I will tomorrow
Thanks as usual for the help DAKAR

Did you unplug the computer (mains) from wall soket while outside maintenace was going on? If not then your PSU is a suspect.

Get your PSU checked.

Check no CDs or floppies in drives and attempt to reboot.
