You can try Windows Restore or you can just put the file back. Put in your Windows XP CD and go to the I386 folder. Find the RUNDLL32.EX_ file and copy it to the desktop. The file is compressed so rename it so it says RUNDLL32.CAB and open it. Extract the rundll.exe file to C:\Windows\system32 where it belongs and it should be ok.

You can also try "Start-Run" and type in "sfc /scannow" (note the space and don't include the quotation marks)

You will need your windows XP installation disc

Try looking for a download of it at click here

I can't actually access the files at the moment, maybe you will have better luck

You could try downloading the rundll.exe from the internet. Sometimes websites offer the Windows system files for download in case they get corrupted or lost.

have you got a folder i386 on your hard drive?

it may be in C:\i386 or c:\windows\i386

there will be a copy of rundll32.exe
