Cannot encrypt external disc

XP Home/SP2 and StorageCrypt 2.0

I'm trying to encrypt the contents of an external USB disc. The folders on the external disc are closed and no files are open. Storage Crypt tells me that the disc is in use and cannot be encrypted. Any ideas as to what might be using the disc?

try using unlocker on it. there is a real anoying bug in windz which still aint fixed that causes a file to be in use by a system process (explorer.exe if im correct) and will not enable you to delete or modify the file or folder. are you using fat32 or ntfs file system?

Thanks. It's NTFS. I'll try unlocker tomorrow.
