Cannot delete-being used by another person/program

  Spurano 20:58 03 Oct 2006

I downloaded three amusing windows media videos from a 'You've Been Framed' type website. They are quite sizeable in terms of space they take up. When I try to delete them from the desktop the following message comes up....'Cannot delete...being used by another person or program - close any programs that might be using the file and try again."

Any ideas how to get rid of them?

Thanks for any help.

re-boot in safe mode, delete the files then re-boot in normal. That should do it for you.

I'm a bit of a beginner here, how do you 'reboot in safe mode' and how is it different from rebooting in 'normal'??? Thanks again.....
