cannot connect to one particular url

Running norton 2006 AV on xp2.
I've changed no settings, but all day today I've been unable to see one particular page.
"Page not available"
Never had this problem before.
I've mailed a friend who reports no current problems with the site locally(he and the site are in the US)
I turned my AV program off temporarily, and tried again but with no luck.

Any suggestion from anyone who has had, and solved, this problem most welcome.

Depending on whether you use Internet Explorer or Firefox (or whatever) add the website to the list of Allowed sites (Security or Privacy settings).

Thanks Stuart, I'll give it a go.

Stuart- I'm running ie6 still, and set the url to my allowed list but it hasn't let me load the page.

buteman- read your other thread and the last link, but I'm still running ie6 so I assume that is a slightly different problem.

Can someone give me a brain-dead route to the cookies ?
I'd like to see what I have from the missing site.

what isp are you using? I know that some isp's e.g. tiscali have been having DNS problems recently therefore preventing people getting to certain websites. what site is it you are struggling to connect to?
