cannot boot up xp on my tiny laptop

when i turn on my laptop i get the screen ginving me options to start in safe mode or last good config etc when i try ti start in any mode i get a blue sceen flash up then goes back to options screen when i tried f8 i sed disable autorun and got the blue screen up it said it had shut windows down because of a problem and advised me to uninsall anti virus defrags etc but i cant get into it to do any thing the technical message says-stop:0x00000024(0x00190203,0x82f6d858,0xc0000102,0x00000000)i treid to restore with the disk i got with laptop but it says it is not compatible wit the system although nothing has been changed on laptop another screen says--mbr,bpb,bpbbackup and fsi info replaced run anti virus to comfirm other virus can anyone help please

Could be a registry error that you have, can you not start in safe mode at all that way it can rebuild the mbr etc?
If not then you may have had a Hard Drive failure which would be terminal!

Do you have a XP CD?

Can you set the laptop to boot from CD?

Boot to recovery console and at the prompt type chkdsk /r

on completion type exit to reboot the laptop without the CD in the drive see if it will then reboot ok.

i tried to reboot using medion xp disk that i got with my desktop it started set up then gave a message-acpiec.sys. is corrupted press any key to restart
